About this deal

The Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine also have a 1/2-inch CMOS 12MP Tele camera, capable of achieving 28x hybrid zoom. The Mavic 3 Classic does not feature the Tele camera, and has 3x digital zoom via its single Hasselblad sensor. All three drones are compatible with numerous DJI controllers, namely the DJI RC Pro and DJI RC - both smart controllers with built-in screens - as well as the RC-N1. Read our in-depth comparison guide to find out more about these controllers. The folded dimensions of the Mavic 3 are 212×96.3x90.3mm, while its unfolded size is 347.5×283x107.7 mm. This makes it similar to the Mavic 2 Pro when folded, with the unfolded size being slightly larger. Based on their specifications and characteristics, each one has its own target audience, whether that's content creation, surveying, public safety, inspection, thermal mapping, agriculture, or land management.

The Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro Cine have three cameras: That Hasselblad sensor, as well as Dual Tele Cameras. The Mavic 3M has a newly-upgraded imaging system with one 20MP RGB camera and four 5MP multispectral cameras (green, red, red edge, and near infrared). In fact, the aircraft features the smallest 4-band multispectral camera in the world. A highly-capable and reliable drone, the M3T has omnidirectional object sensing, APAS 5.0 and Advanced Return To Home. While both models of the Mavic 3 offer a maximum of 5.1K @ 50fps video recording, only the Mavic 3 Cine offers the Apple ProRes 422 HQ encoding and a built-in 1TB SSD (vs 8 GB in the non-cine edition) to store all that beautiful footage. Meanwhile, the Tele camera has a fixed f/4.4 aperture with up to 4K @ 30fps video and 4x digital zoom (28x hybrid zoom). The Mavic 3 is a nimble drone that’s much more responsive in flight than its Mavic 2 predecessors. In this respect, it's actually more like the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. The controls are simply much more sensitive in both Normal and Sport Modes, while Cine Mode offers reduced control sensitivity and speed for smoother flights and more cinematic video footage.

The Mavic 3 Enterprise can also be used with DJI FlightHub 2 and is compatible with the new smart controller, the DJI RC Pro Enterprise with 1,000 nit high-brightness screen. Yes, the Mavic 3 Cine has more recording options, but it also has the DJI RC Pro controller, and after flying a few times, I realized that I would like the DJI RC Pro controller with the non-Cine model. The December firmware update came with improvements to obstacle avoidance, but when tested in the same highly complex environment as our original test the drone performed the same way. When flying within a tight avenue of trees, the Mavic 3 flew erratically and may have crashed into tree branches if it wasn’t stopped. Still, this was an incredibly tough test and when APAS was turned off, the drone was able to fly much more smoothly, albeit with a much greater risk of crashing. With the impressive onboard technology, it would be great to see further improvements to obstacle avoidance in future firmware updates. So, with six Mavic 3 aircraft to choose from, which one is right for you, and what do the Mavic 3E, Mavic 3T, and Mavic 3M bring to the party?bit D-Log: Provides more natural colour gradations for greater flexibility in post-production. Mavic 3 Pro/Mavic 3 Pro Cine support the new 10-bit D-Log M colour mode. A firmware update has added D-Log M colour mode for the Hasselblad camera for the Mavic 3 Classic and Mavic 3/Mavic 3 Cine. This is compared to the single Tele Camera on the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine which offers these specs: 162mm telephoto lens, aperture of f/4.4, up to 28x hybrid zoom, 12MP stills, and 4K/50fps video. DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine and Mavic 3 Pro Cine - aimed at pro-filmmakers - support Apple ProRes and have 1TB built-in storage. The new Mavic 3 Pro Cine has tri-camera ProRes support, while ProRes is only supported on the Hasselblad camera of the older Mavic 3 Cine; But whether this matters comes down to preference, and the DJI RC-N1 - which is still a popular controller - may well fit the bill.

The drone automatically plans a flight route based on the user's pre-set waypoints and can precisely repeat routes.

Another feature that sits in the area of safety is the Mavic 3's new positioning algorithm, which claims to improve hovering precision with less drifting by connecting to GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou satellites. This is, of course, welcome, but it’s impossible to see a difference between the Mavic 3 and previous-generation models when the drone is hovering. All apply to Mavic 3 Pro, Mavic 3 Pro Cine, Mavic 3 Classic, Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine, unless stated Mavic 3 Thermal designed for public safety, search and rescue and inspection. Only Mavic 3 drone to have a thermal sensor. The Mavic 3T is compatible with accessories, including loud speaker, and can be used with DJI FlightHub 2, especially suited for public safety teams to enhance situational awareness and teamwide collaboration; This blog will examine each drone's core features and highlight their suitability for their specific industry vertical. DJI Mavic 3 vs Mavic 3 Cine vs Mavic 3 Classic vs Mavic 3 Enterprise vs Mavic 3 Thermal vs Mavic 3 Multispectral: At A Glance The DJI Mavic 3T is built with public safety, search and rescue, inspection and thermal mapping in mind.

Like the Mavic 3 Series, the Mavic 3 Enterprise series features omnidirectional obstacle sensing, Advanced Return To Home and APAS 5.0. Being from the same family, the Mavic 3 Series look practically identical - albeit their cameras are all different.

Sensing

To further benefit surveying missions, the Mavic 3 Enterprise is compatible with route planning within DJI Pilot 2, such as waypoint, mapping, oblique and linear, and is compatible with DJI Terra. While the Cine model offers ProRes HQ and more internal storage, I’m not sure it’s worth the extra cost for many users. I haven’t shot the Cine version, so it’s hard to have a solid opinion if the ProRes HQ is far superior to the H.265 option of the Mavic 3. If you are a professional, then I can totally understand getting the version with the most features.
